Across the world, many of us are currently living under quarantine. We’re being contained in our homes while we’re out of work and expecting our last paychecks very soon. The economy is suffering while over 13,000 people have died so far. Some cities/countries have instated mandatory quarantines while others have been living in a more lax situation. It seems as if the world is slowly going to turn into a militarized police state.
The economic effects are devastating and this whole situation obviously deserves a lot of media coverage but it makes me think, is this being used as a cover for other things that we should also be paying attention to? It’s impossible to not pay attention to what’s happening with the coronavirus because the majority of us are living it, but what else is happening that we are missing?

For the first time in 71 weeks, the Yellow Vest protests across France had to take a break because of the full curfew measures. It’s almost as if the coronavirus scare has become a tool to keep French citizens under control. Fortunately, citizens still found a way to protest!
The point of this article is not to downplay the threat of the coronavirus, but to present the possibilities of other situation that could escalate while we are paying absolutely no attention to them. We hope that all of our readers stay safe during this time of uncertainty!
